Wild Flower Gardens

To celebrate the magnificent and excellent annual extravaganza that is the Chelsea Flower Show we at Cabbages & Roses are joining in with the horticultural fun by giving away packets of wild flower seeds provided by wildseed. The seeds have been harvested from meadows and fields

in Somerset within a mile of where Cabbages & Roses was born, and continues to thrive.  The organic wild flower and grass seeds have been packed by hand by our Cabbage Roses, and will be given away throughout the Chelsea Flower show week from our Sydney Street store, beginning on the 24th of May.

Clearly our little envelopes are not going to create a wild flower meadow like these images portray, but they might inspire some to buy a kilo or two from emorsgateseeds and create small havens for our endangered bees.

Albert Einstein warned that "if the bee disappeared off the face of the earth, man would have only 4 years left to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.... Have a look at Friends of the Earth website for information on how you can help protect the bees whose declining numbers are a bit worrying.

Do pop in and visit our Sydney Street Store to see our tiny little Chelsea front Garden from the 24th May.
